In continuation of my despatch No. 12 of the 3rd
instant on the subject of fun vat-mente favourable attitude
towards the construction of the Cant on-Kowloon Canton-Han kow
junction line, I have the honour to transmit here-ith com, in
translation, of a letter from the Wai Chino Pu requesting me
to telegraph to His Excelleng the Governor of Hongkong to
prevent British loans to Doctor Sun on the security of nation-
al properties, with special reference to the loop line project.
2. I ending the Wei Chiao Pu a brief renly stating
that the sense of their letter is being communicated to the
Governor of Hongkong.
